You will be travelling in your own vehicle the vast majority of the time.
A couple of the included tours will be in a boat (pebbled beach to ramped boat) or a bus (stepped access only).
The majority of the time we will be on unsealed surfaces.
There is very limited access to hard sealed surfaces which are only found in a couple of the larger town environments.
Most camping sites are hard packed dirt but sometimes we will have some grassed areas to camp on, other times there will be a hard sandy soil base.
Walking tracks are mainly dirt but we have some limited concrete and timber boardwalks.
Short sections of stairs and steps are present on may tracks with no ramped alternative.
There are some steep rock climbs to specific sites.
Natural ground contours are the norm for camping and walking and dead level surfaces are rare.
Accessible toilets and showers are not always available.
Often no toilets are available and the bush toilet is used with Leave No Trace principles.
When driving, toilet stops are usually a maximum of two hours apart.
Many facilities are composting.
We use UHF radios to provide safety and interpretive tour information whist driving.
You or someone in the vehicle should be able to listen and transmit on the radio.
Guests with a certified guide, hearing, or assistance dog may bring their dog with them on tour
The only limitation is if you tour includes a mine tour, you will not be able to take your dog on it.
Please contact us if you have any questions and we'll be able to help!
