Our Approach

Swagalong Tours was founded with the desire to share our amazing part of the country with others and key attractions are the natural and cultural landscapes. We aim to protect these landscapes by sharing and educating. By helping to protect the environment and operating in a sustainable manner we hope to make a difference and influence others to do the same.  .

Environment & Climate

Minimal Impact

Operating by Leave No Trace principles we aim to minimise our impact on the environments in which we travel.

Water Use

We are reducing our water consumption using efficient devices and recycling.

Waste & Recycling

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
We apply this principles in the office, the workplace and on tour.

Carbon Emissions

We aim to reduce our carbon emissions through a number of management and monitoring strategies.
Where we are unable to reduce emissions we offset.

Social and Cultural Responsibility

Local Suppliers

We prioritise local suppliers of accomodation, meals, fuel, and supplies.
We use local independent tour providers for the side tours on our tagalongs.

Indigenous Culture

We share our knowledge of the local indigenous history.
Visiting local cultural centres and art centres allows for greater understanding and appreciation.

Protection of Sites

We ensure our groups do no impact those living and working in the areas we visit.
Cultural and heritage sites are protected from damage and souveniring.
